enano e2 “Ecossential” Performance PCs to Power USA Live Earth’s On-Site Video Feeds

Giants Stadium Press Room to Feature Simultaneous Feeds from 7 International Sites for Historic Consciousness-Raising Event

June 30, 2007 – San Diego, CA  – enano® computers today announced that it has been commissioned by the organizers of Live Earth – an international music event that will bring together more than two billion people to combat the current climate crisis – to power the live streaming international feeds to the USA Live Earth press complex at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, on July 7. Seven different multi-media enano e2s will be used to keep reporters up to date on events happening at Live Earth sites around the world via broadcast-quality video streams from London, Johannesburg, Rio de Janiero, Shanghai, Tokyo, Sydney, and Hamburg. Performers at Live Earth include The Police, Madonna, Dave Matthews Band, Roger Waters, Genesis, and Beastie Boys.

The enano e2 is perfectly suited to meet Live Earth’s goal of reducing the carbon footprint of large-scale gatherings. The organizers set out to redefine the way events of this magnitude can be put on. With support from the U.S. Green Building Council, creators of the LEED Green Building Rating System, Live Earth has implemented the new Green Event Guidelines. Learning from LEED, the green event guidelines holistically address the key areas of impact of a large live event including recycling and composting, transportation, energy, water usage and the event site itself. The use of enano e2’s for the Live Earth event helps to address and support this initiative.

The enano e2 is an ultra small-form factor desktop PC that operates up to 95% quieter, 80% more energy-efficient, 65% cooler and takes up 75%+ less space than standard desktops. The e2s are the improved generation of desktop PCs created exclusively to lead in increased material efficiency, decreased packaging mass and volume and decreased energy consumption – all of which results in a quiet, cool and environmentally-friendly PC.

“We are thrilled to donate our time, resources and eco-leading technology to an event of this scope and magnitude,” explains enano computers COO, Bill Reh. “The environment and role computers play in it are a huge part in our daily lives. Raising the world’s awareness to using the most energy efficient computers possible is just one the things people can do on a daily basis to reduce their carbon footprint and help a climate in crisis. ”
